12 Days Of Christmas | Blättertorte Biscuits

In day 9 of  "12 Days Of Christmas" series, I decided to share with you a simple, easy to follow recipe to make light and delicious butter cookies with jam, perfect for Christmas time with all the amazing festive cutters and pretty white icing on the top.

You will need...
250g flour
250g butter
120g sugar
1 egg white

Jam (I used raspberry jam)
Icing Sugar

How to...
Preheat the oven to 200ºC. Using your hands, mix the flour, the butter, the sugar and the egg white until they are all mixed together.
Spread some flour on the worktop and roll out the dough, a little bit at the time, with the rolling pin. Using circular cutters, cut out shapes and carefully put them on a lined baking tray. If you want that small hole in the middle of the biscuits, use some smaller cutters to cut off the centre of the biscuit.
Put the tray(s) into the oven and bake them for about 8-10 minutos - or until they are all baked and golden.
When they are totally cold, separately, put the icing sugar on top of the biscuits with the little hole in the middle. Put jam in the biscuits without the hole in the middle and then join together both parts

12 Days Of Christmas | Festive Brigadiers

In today’s post, day 6 of  "12 Days of Christmas", I thought I’d share with you my most recently discovery - a beautiful van which sells a lot of different varieties of brigadiers.

When I first saw this colourful concept, I felt automatically in love. All the brigadiers were stocked in some beautiful transparent drawers and they all had some amazing details on top of them, like small mistletoes, Christmas trees or snowflakes... I knew I needed to buy some of them for my family and I.

The hard part was choosing the flavours. They have literally everything, from Doce de Leite to Oreo, Cherry Pie, Chocolate and Mint, Lemon, Custard Tard (the typical Portuguese small cake) amongst so many others!! I picked out Chocolate Salami (top left), Chocolate and Merengue (bottom left), French Toast (bottom right), Chocolate with Crucnhy Peanuts (top right) and wafer cake (middle)

The brigadiers shop name is BrigaDoce and you can check their blog here. I know you will fall in love with this girls' concept too. If you ever visit Portugal, you can find their where their piaggio is via facebook so you can try this delicious brigadiers.
